Welcome to Upside Down
It is a hectic day on the station. You have just prepared the warships for the next mining expedition to Thora. The target is the "lake" - the massive patch of Thorium ore, a remnant of an asteroid crashing down on the planet, luring every major faction to the same spot to mine the valueable resource. It is essential to creating Quantum Computers - a requirement for high-tier equipment. As you engange the jump drive, you wonder whether this will be the last flight of your warship or if you will come home, rich in thorium ore. The destiny is in your hands. Welcome to Upside Down.
Upside Down offers an active PvP scene driven by central objectives and a well-balanced custom mod pack with new gorgeous designs. In combination with next-gen NPC ship combat, combat has never been more exciting or rewarding. It is our ultimate goal that you as a player can choose how to play the game - as a trader, miner, pirate, bounty hunter, pilot, ship constructor... the list goes on. Your destiny is in your hands.
We are veterans within the field, having run the server since 2017, but with some staff members having roots in server management dating back to 2014. During this time, we have become some of the most experienced people in the community in the area with experts in optimization, balancing, community interaction and so much more. We were voted the best server of 2019 and keep the same ideals and the same burning passion for the project to this day.
We offer a unique combination of server-owned, next-gen hardware and server optimization on a level that has inspired Keen themselves. This makes for a high-population server with engaging activities mixing PvP and PvE, combined with block limits that still give you a large amount of creative freedom. All this while keeping a stable 1.0 simspeed. For real.
