Description
Explore the vastness of space and get to know all of its inhabitants in this Gameserverkings Space Engineers server. With support for full space and planetary exploration, using GSK will have you up and running in no time at all.
Space Engineers is a tough game to run. Due to the restrictions with the game itself, it needs quite a special build to be able to run properly. The game developers currently only allow most of the dedicated server portion of the game to run single-threaded. This means that having a fancy CPU with 48 cores doesn't necessarily contribute all 48 cores.
We understand this at GSK, and have responded by building special machines based around this concept specifically. High performance CPUs are the way to go for Space Engineers hosting, without them you’re definitely going to be experiencing some lag issues… especially if you happen to be running a large save file with planetary exploration.
Along with the CPU, you’ll also be hosted on a machine with 64GB of RAM or more, and a 512GB SSD to make sure all of your data is stored and loaded as quickly as possible.
Modding is a pretty huge part of any simulation/exploration game. This is no different for Space Engineers. We have a very simple system for adding Steam mods into your Space Engineers server, and can even import mods from an existing world that you have. It’s as simple as copying and pasting some things, and you’re all set!
Of course our service wouldn’t be complete without offering Torch. This is an optional dedicated server framework made and maintained by ex-developers of the actual game. It is often superior to the standard game server in many ways, including its own plugin system, configuration editor, and game console that is accessible from the web.
